Back to How to do this?
You can start an event on the homepage before you login or from your profile after you login. You reach the first page of the event creation wizard:
You have to enter the following information:
Email and password of the chief organiser of the event. This person is the 'owner' of the event with ultimate control over every aspect of it.
Start and end dates/times of the event. Start and end dates are compulsory (they can be the same day). Please use 24 hour time format.
Organisers' password: the administration module of the event can be accessed only entering a password. Here you have to specify this password.
Languages: oorgoo allows you to create multilingual event websites for your participants. Please select all languages in which you want to provide information to your participants. Furthermore you have to select the language of the administration. Oorgoo provides the administration module in the selected language.
click on the next button to get to the next page of the wizard.
First you have to give the title of the event (in all languages that you selected for the website)
You can limit the number of participants. If you enter a ppositive number here then only the given number of applicants will be accepted. Further applicants will be put on waitlist automatically. If you enter 1 here then oorgoo does not accept applications automatically (you can decide one by one).
You can set an e-mail archive for all e-mails that is sent out during organisation. We advise to set an e-mail address as oorgoo itself does not store e-mails.
After you have created your event you can immediately start to prepare it.
You have to enter some key information about your event (when does it take place, what is the title of it etc.) and create the homepage text and select design (without any programming). The whole process lasts less than 5 minutes.
